Hey friends! Today, I am so excited to share with you guys one of my latest discoveries. When I was younger (and not married), I would buy only name brand make-up products either from MAC or Sephora. All my lipsticks came from MAC and I loved wearing NARS. But now that I have three kids, a house and you know…tons of expenses and responsibilities, buying expensive make-up just doesn’t sound reasonable.

And nowadays, with social media…we see people flaunting more budget friendly products which are just as good…or even better! We DON’T have to spend a fortune to create the looks we want! For me, I like to use a mix of higher end products and drugstore products. You just take a risk though, when you are buying drugstore products because you can’t try them on! So that’s why I’m sharing this post with you guys today so you can rest assured that I’ve tried it and I LOVED IT! And you guys definitely have to try this one!

Read on to learn about this drugstore make-up brand that will give you that radiant healthy glow!

So…once a year, I like to buy all new make-up because, after a year, you don’t know what bacteria is growing in your make-up. It’s nice to have everything new and fresh. And plus, it’s always nice to try new and upcoming products, right?

Ever since I tried NARS’ blush in Orgasm, bronzer in Laguna, and illuminator in Copacabana, I was hooked! Now I always use blush, bronzer and highlighter in my daily make-up routine to contour and highlight and I absolutely love the look. But there’s only one problem! NARS is kinda pricey, and if I’m having to buy new products on a yearly basis, it can be quite expensive.

And so hence my search for a cheaper alternative with the same effect. I was a bit nervous, you know, trying a different brand, one that I wouldn’t be able to try on first. I questioned whether or not I should risk it, when I could just buy the one I know and love. But I gave it a chance anyway. I looked at pics of people on Instagram flaunting their make-up looks and I found a lot of people were using Physicians Formula! I thought hmmm…maybe I should give this brand a try.

I stopped by Shoppers Drug Mart to check out their make-up. I’m always at Shoppers because it’s just close by, and they have milk, eggs, and other groceries and they usually have all the toiletries I need at a good price. I also had racked up a bunch of Optimum Points which means I can get make-up for free! SWEET! Not only was it going to be free but Physicians Formula was on SALE!

I ended up grabbing these three Physicians Formula products:

Physicians Formula Blush

Physicians Formula Illuminator

Physicians Formula Bronzer

I was really hesitant at first because the blush looked really pink and the bronzer looked really light. In my past experience with bronzers, the bronzer had to be quite brown in order for it to show up on my skin since I have really tanned skin. Secondly, I didn’t want to have super pink cheeks either! But I spoke with one of the sales associates from Shoppers Beauty Boutique and she told me that I really couldn’t go wrong with Physicians Formula. She said the bronzer is buildable and the blush wouldn’t be so pink on my skin. She also said the illuminator I chose was her favourite and she has bought it three times now. I wasn’t too sure but I went ahead and bought the three items she recommended.

Physicians Formula in Translucent Pearl 7040C

I like to apply is just above my cheek bone, on the bridge of my nose and on my chin.

One swipe and you can see the noticeable glow.

It blends nicely into the skin.

Does not appear chalky or too glittery.

Verdict: I absolutely love this illuminator! I think it will be my favourite for a long time!

Physicians Formula- Beauty Balm BB Bronzer in Light to Medium 6219C

This was the one that I thought might be too light for my skin tone but I was totally wrong!

It showed up nicely on my tan skin and I was able to build up to the intensity I wanted to define my cheek bones!

The look you get is a natural looking sun kissed glow!

This product is also hypoallergenic, paraben free, gluten free, fragrance free, oil free, non-comedogenic and DERMATOLOGIST APPROVED!

I have very sensitive skin so this product is perfect for me!

Verdict: Who could ask for a better bronzer? I absolutely love it!

Physicians Formula- Happy Booster, Glow and Mood Boosting Blush in Rose 7322C

When I put this on, it didn’t appear too pink at all!

It gave me that nice rosey look that I was going for.

The box states that it contains ingredients which are supposed to promote feelings of happiness and the violet scent is supposed to bring feelings of joy with every application. I haven’t really noticed the violet scent but what makes me happy is the way it looks on my skin!
