How to make marble art with shaving cream and paint

I saw this at a local arts school and I just had to try it. I love doing art projects with my girls but I’m not always good at it. But this art project is fool proof. It’s so easy, doesn’t take very much time to do, and the supplies are cheap!

Here’s what you need:

  1. Acrylic Paint (dollar store)
  2. Shaving cream
  3. a container (see photo)
  4. A bbq stick (to mix the paint)
  5. Stir stick (from paint store)
  6. card stock

Here are the steps to make marble art!

  1. Fill your container with a layer of shaving cream. IMG_49592. Add squirts of your acrylic paint however you likeIMG_49603. Take your bbq stick and swirl the paint around till it looks something like thisIMG_49623. Take your card stock and place it on top of the paint. (I folded my paper to fit it in the container)IMG_49654. Remove cardstock from the shaving cream, then scrap off excess cream in one stroke starting from one corner till all the cream is removed. Have fun!
